Hosting

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. When you visit the site, GitHub's servers technically necessarily process your IP address and standard request metadata (user agent, referrer, time of access) in server logs to deliver the page and protect the service. Details can be found in the GitHub Privacy Statement. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing a functioning and secure website).

Analytics

This site uses a self-hosted instance of Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics tool. Plausible does not use cookies or other persistent identifiers, does not store IP addresses, and does not track visitors across websites. It records only aggregate information such as page views, referrer, browser family and country. The analytics instance is operated on my own server in Germany; no data is shared with third parties. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding aggregate site usage without impacting visitor privacy).

Fonts and external content

All fonts, images and other assets of this site are self-hosted. No requests are made to Google Fonts or any other third-party CDN.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing of your personal data, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since this site stores no personal data beyond the technically required server logs described above, there is usually nothing to access or erase — but you can always reach out to [email protected].
